What You'll Do
- Architect and build the backend (Node.js/Python/Go) with REST or GraphQL APIs
- Design and manage the database layer (PostgreSQL/MongoDB) for campaigns, users, wallets, and transactions
- Integrate Paystack for payments, wallet top-ups, and curator payouts
- Implement authentication, role-based access control, and security best practices
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure on Vercel/AWS/Railway
- Lead technical decisions and establish engineering culture as the team grows
- Collaborate directly with the CEO on product roadmap and technical feasibility
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years building production backend systems
- Strong experience with Node.js (Express/Fastify/NestJS) or Python (Django/FastAPI)
- Database design — relational (PostgreSQL) and/or document (MongoDB)
- Payment gateway integration experience (Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe)
- Understanding of Next.js and ability to work alongside the frontend codebase
- Experience deploying and scaling web applications
- Startup mindset — comfortable wearing multiple hats and moving fast

What You'll Do
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for NewBanger's launch across Nigeria and West Africa
- Build artist acquisition channels — social media ads, influencer partnerships, music communities, university tours
- Recruit and onboard curators, bloggers, and influencers to build supply-side liquidity
- Run paid campaigns on Meta, Google, TikTok, and Twitter/X with measurable ROAS
- Create referral programs and viral loops to drive organic growth
- Track and report on key metrics: CAC, LTV, activation rates, campaign completion rates
- Build strategic partnerships with labels, distributors, and music media in Africa
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in growth marketing, digital marketing, or user acquisition
- Proven track record of growing a product or community from early stage
- Experience running paid ads on Meta and Google with budget accountability
- Deep understanding of Nigerian youth culture, music trends, and social media landscape
- Data-driven mindset — comfortable with analytics tools and A/B testing
- Strong copywriting skills for ads, emails, and landing pages

What You'll Do
- Review and vet every creator application within 24 hours — verify playlists, blogs, and social profiles for authenticity and quality
- Review all campaign submissions: check playlist proofs (song actually placed), content links (video uses the song, ≥15s, original), and blog articles (live URL, ≥300 words, genuine feature)
- Handle artist-creator disputes — investigate complaints, issue refunds or warnings, and ban repeat offenders
- Spot-check active placements weekly to catch early removals, deleted videos, or taken-down blog posts
- Monitor referral program for fraud — self-referrals, fake accounts, referral rings
- Manage support tickets via Tawk.to with <4 hour first response time
- Deliver a weekly report to the CEO: applications, fulfillment rate, disputes, refunds, and recommendations
- Maintain and enforce quality standards documented in the curator guidelines
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years in operations, customer success, community management, or quality assurance
- Excellent communication skills in English — you'll write approval/rejection emails, dispute responses, and warning notices daily
- Detail-oriented — able to review hundreds of playlist links, TikTok videos, and blog articles without missing quality issues
- Conflict resolution skills — you'll mediate between artists who feel shortchanged and creators who feel unfairly rejected
- Active user of Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, TikTok, and Instagram — you need to spot fake followers, dead playlists, and low-effort content
- Comfortable with spreadsheets — you'll track disputes, curator performance, and weekly KPIs in Google Sheets
Nice to Have
- Experience managing a creator or freelancer network
- Knowledge of the Nigerian independent music scene
- Experience with Tawk.to, Zendesk, or similar support tools
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain API endpoints for campaigns, marketplace, wallets, and user management
- Implement campaign automation — status updates, notifications, deadline tracking
- Build internal admin tools for campaign review, user management, and payout processing
- Optimise database queries and application performance
- Write tests and maintain code quality across the backend
- Collaborate with the frontend to integrate APIs with the Next.js application
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years backend or fullstack development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript preferred) or Python
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORMs (Prisma, Drizzle, or SQLAlchemy)
- Understanding of RESTful API design and authentication patterns
- Familiarity with Next.js or React is a plus

- Manage NewBanger's social media accounts — Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn
- Create educational content: how-to guides, artist spotlights, curator features, and success stories
- Write and send email newsletters to artists and curators
- Build and moderate WhatsApp and Telegram communities for artists and curators
- Write blog posts optimised for SEO to drive organic traffic
- Collaborate with the growth lead on content campaigns and product launches
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years in content creation, social media management, or community management
- Strong writing skills — able to switch between professional and conversational tones
- Understanding of Nigerian music culture, slang, and trends
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar design/video tools for social content
- Consistent — able to maintain a content calendar and post regularly

- Personal following or community in the music/creator space
- Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Brevo, Loops)
- Basic understanding of SEO and keyword research
What You'll Do
- Process and reconcile curator/influencer payouts via Paystack
- Manage wallet top-up and refund operations
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the CEO and investors
- Handle tax compliance (FIRS) and business registration requirements
- Manage vendor payments, subscriptions, and operational expenses
- Support fundraising with financial projections and data room preparation
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in accounting, finance, or financial operations
- Experience with Nigerian tax and business compliance (FIRS, CAC)
